The 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, will take place Saturday, April 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and will feature performances by Ariana Grande, DNCE, Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld, Zara Larsson, Daya, Kelsea Ballerini, Sabrina Carpenter, Laura Marano, Sofia Carson and Jordan Smith. The special telecast, "Disney Channel Presents the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards" will be presented Sunday, May 1 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel.
The Radio Disney Music Awards mark another in a series of IM360 livestreaming milestones, powering the first network television program to be simultaneously broadcast in VR (ABC Good Morning America “GMA on Safari: Tanzania”), the first live boxing match to be simultaneously broadcast in VR (David “Hayemaker” Haye at the O2 Arena) and the first awards show red carpet to be simultaneously broadcast in VR (MTV Video Music Awards 2015).
